We ran with Jeff to start out with but he was running the loop for a total of 8 miles. It felt so good to get out in the cold air after not running for over a week due to snow and cold weather conditions. There was still snow on the ground but melting. There were some spots as we started our run that were very slick. We had to be careful and run slower. Mishel was having trouble in the beginning and felt winded. I kinda felt out of shape too. We slit off when Mishel and I turned L to go up the gravel road and come down the reverse way; Jeff kept running for the full 8 miles. I actually started to get some knee pain as we were heading back past the HS. We talked for a bit but I got it again: i really didn't want to make Mishel stop as she was doing better near the end so I kept on running with my L knee giving me some deep pain. I have no idea why it was doing that so I am hoping I dont' have trouble on wed if I run. Yikes! pain reminded me of Portland, none of that! Ewww!

TT: 51:35 Avg: 9:33 Max: 7:54

Splits: 9:06, 9:44, 10:16, 9:24, 9:26, 9:13
Sun, 22 Jan 2012 07:00:00 Fri, Jan 13, 2012 http://Anya.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-13-2012.html
My place. 5:30 a.m. Cheri and Mishel joined me for a early morning run on a freezing cold morning. I think it might have been mid 20s...Mishel thought maybe low 20s, whatever it was it was cold! First run with Mishel in awhile but she wanted to try and run slow and see how her knee does. We ran at a much slower pace and she thought maybe her knee was giving her some problems but it went away and she kept on going. She made the whole run through Lemon tree, to back rd. and then we turned L on gravel road and went down the big hill. We walked a little bit before that were a stopped by watch for a bit. Going down the steep hill actually bothered my L knee a little bit but nothing too major. I felt cold on my arms but my hands finally warmed up. Good run and great job Mishel! Lots of cars passed us this morning as they were on their way to work.

TT: 55:24 Avg: 10:21 Max: 6:00

Splits: 10:42, 10:33, 11:04, 9:36, 9:53, 10:18
Fri, 13 Jan 2012 07:00:00 Wed, Jan 11, 2012 http://Anya.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-11-2012.html
Lakeland Hills. 5:30. Angela picked me up and we met up with Janet at Lakeland. Niki was feeling sick so she passed on a run today. Janet was proud to be a grandmother now and so excited! Us 3 ran as Janet had her dog as well. It was like 27 degrees when we ran I believe....burrr...I wore layers and covered ears and hands. I never really warmed up enough to take off the jacket. We ran the usual route which is the shortest version. Good run.

TT: 42:30 Avg: 9:38 Max: 8:28

Splits: 9:46, 9:31, 9:32, 9:37, 9:55
Wed, 11 Jan 2012 07:00:00 Sun, Jan 08, 2012 http://Anya.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-08-2012.html
Starbucks in Enumclaw. 7:00 a.m. Angela picked Marianne and I up and then we all went to Enumclaw together. There was Cheri, June, Niki, and Sunny there as well. Shannon went into labor and ended up delivering baby Clara that evening. It was chilly this morning and we all stayed in starbucks as long as we could then faced the bitter cold. I ran with Niki for most all the way. Marianne and Sunny ran near the rear. Niki had to walk run some of the time near the end of the run and she kept telling me to go on ahead so finally I did. I did keep a pretty decent pace at the end by myself but not as fun not talking. I wished I had my new ipod nano from Amyas at that time. The sun was shinning and it turned into a goregous day! We all stayed for coffee after. mmm What a goregous day in Enumclaw!

TT: 45:06 Avg: 8:52 Max: 7:01

Splits: 9:12, 9:05, 8:53, 8:45, 8:33, 7:37
Sun, 08 Jan 2012 07:00:00 Fri, Jan 06, 2012 http://Anya.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-06-2012.html
Lakeland Hills. 5:45 a.m. I didn't have to work today; prob. taking most Fridays off now:) Angela picked me up at 5:30 a.m. and met up with Janet and Niki at 5:45. It was slightly cold as I didn't have my gloves or pants. I just wore capris. silly me. I was thinking I was still enjoying Ca weather maybe. We did the same route we did on Wed. Shortest route. Niki was getting some R knee pain toward the end as we were running together.

TT: 41:41 Avg: 9:24 Max: 7:20

Splits: 9:08, 9:38, 9:25, 9:33, 9:10
Fri, 06 Jan 2012 07:00:00 Wed, Jan 04, 2012 http://Anya.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-04-2012.html
Lakeland Hills. 5:15 a.m. Ran the hills after it had been a long time. Niki got everyone together and we ran with Janet and Angela. Mishel is out for a couple of weeks because she hurt her knee while running the marathon-Yukon. It was great to run like old times in Lakeland. We ran the usual route where we turn right and then left back to starbucks. It wasn't too cold outside so I wore a short sleeved shirt. I ran in the front with Angela some of the time. I felt pretty good charging up the hills.

TT: 40:02 Avg: 9:06 Max: 6:42

Splits: 9:21, 9:15, 9:03, 8:56, 8:42
Wed, 04 Jan 2012 07:00:00 Fri, Dec 30, 2011 http://Anya.fastrunningblog.com/blog-12-30-2011.html
Parents home. Paradise, CA. 9:00 a.m. Dad and I ran over to Beyond Fitness from our home a little after 9 a.m. We took the route through the cemetery to the PHS and to club. We then had 10 min to stretch, cool down, and get ready for Core Body Glide work out.

We did about 20 min of the work out sliding on these discs and stretching, push ups, and balance. Great work out but almost harder this time because I could feel the sore muscles from Monday. However, I felt my form might have been better this time.

We then ran back to PHS and ran 1 1/2 miles on track then back home. We got over 3 miles this way. So we ran about 3/4 mile to the gym then I joined dads Hard Core Glide class for 25 min. Boy was that a work out!! It totally works out your core body! I was so sore after and didn't have much energy for the rest of the run. We did all types of stretching and also holding and push ups. Our teacher's name was Lisa. Good work out I know I feel it tomorrow! I am not used to that type of work out. Dad and I ran about 2 miles on the track and then ran home after that.

TT: 24:49 Max: 8:55 Avg: 6:55

Splits: ?,8:37, 8:53, 9:21

Mon, 26 Dec 2011 07:00:00
