ARSHS. Was really looking forward to running at the HS because it has been so long! I actually started to miss my early 5:30 a.m. runs believe it or not. Been frustrated with ankle, still kinda gives me pain here and there; it still just doesn't feel like and it's hard to know what to do. Decided to run today at about 5:45 a.m. but run slower. Run went okay, slight pain on R ankle but went away; did fine during run. Kinda hurts after though::(

Way to go getting out there so early! I hope your ankle feels better... is it swollen at all?

Thank you Nicole, I do too! It is not swollen that I can notice...I am not sure what is wrong with it:(

Thanks Lisa, I really do too! It is so hard to cut back on running though I think it might be a good idea. I dont know what to do about it. NOt sure if I should or should not do a long run this weekend. Just don't wanna get behind and ruin all my efforts

I would probably err on the side of safety? If it makes you feel any better I took 2 full weeks off running and 3 full weeks off of a long run and I don't think it really hurt my endurance at all. It did definitely hurt my speed, but that also might be because I'm still cautious/babying it. Does it hurt when you walk around? Ice it!

Nicole, thanks the advice; I know you are right even though i don't want to take a break. I think I might do that. Lets pass on the long run Sun. It does kinda hurt sometimes when I walk around but might be cuase I got a massage today. It didnt' hurt before but has been more today. It hurts when I go up stairs and put all my weight on that leg. I prob shouldn't have ran Sun and Wed:( I just didn't think a simple roll of the ankle would still be giving me trouble a week after. That is encouraging when you took the time off it didn't hurt your endurance much. THanks again for the advice. Most likley won't run this weekend then. I still wanna run with the group sometime with you though!
