Grayland State Park, WA. 9:00 a.m. Camping at a new beach with Nicks family. I decided to run today on the beach. The beach was only about 5 min. away from our campsite. I walked in my flip flops from the campsite to the beach. I left my sandles in the sand at the beach and ran from the bluff entrance to the ocean. Then I ran along the water for about 1.5 miles. Going back I wanted to set a challenge so I ran in some deep soft sand for 1/2 mile. Boy, was that challenging! I had to force myself to keep on running even though it was so tiring! What a work out! The distance I did in the deep sand was so hard! Then I ran the last 1/2 mile between the deep sand and right in the water, wet/dry sand like-more firm. Also some of the time was running up toward the bluff trying to find the exact area I entered the beach. They all looked the same! I could tell it was a bit harder on the feet running on the beach but proud of my accomplishment. However, that day and 1-2 days after the run my calves hurt so bad! I could barely walk!!!

Hey Nicole! Camping was really awesome because we got nice weather this year! It was in the 60s but atleast we didn't have rain! We camped South of Ocean Shores right on the beach. It was just about 5 min walk from our campsite. It was Nicks parents and his older brother and wife who went. The food was the best because it was mom making it! mmm Good times! When you getting back into the country Nicole????? We miss yoU!!
