Hemlock Rd. No work today so slept in until 9ish. Got up and went for a run between 9-10 a.m. It was very muggy out this morning and made it a difficult run. I just felt blaa. I had to wear my older running shoes because my other ones were still soaking went from my run Sunday in the pouring rain. I didn't want to do that but decided to chance it. I got some slight pain in knees that I could tell could be a problem if it was a longer run; luckily just 4 miles so I was okay. Did the loop twice for 4 miles.

You are awesome! And today's run dominates - look how fast you are! I think you could definitely run 8:45s or so in the marathon. You have gotten much much faster these past 2 weeks or so.

A really great trick - stuff newspaper in your shoes after a wet run. If it was extremely wet take the newspaper out after an hour or so and put new newspaper in. This will dry them out for the next day WAY faster.

We should definitely run together a few times before the marathon (if I'm able, knock on wood!). I'm going to try running on Thursday and if it goes okay we should run this weekend?

Thank you, however, I have to make sure to start out slow in the marathon. I think if it was a half marathon I could keep the high 8's but not sure with the full-I just want to finish!

That sounds like a clever idea to put newspaper in the wet shoes. I will have to try it next time! Thanks!

Yeah would love to run with you this weekend if you ankles feel up to it!
