Paradise, CA. Visiting family! 6:50 a.m. Dad and I drove to the church where Pearson intersects Pentz Rd. We parked there and ran down a gravel road to the flume. We ran up the flume (turned L) and ran all the way to the head dam and back. When we got the head dam we weren't quite at 7.5 miles so we had to run down a couple more gravel roads and a hill. I also had to take a bathroom break as well, rested for about 4 min. I felt pretty good except the last 4 miles were tough as usual. I drank lots of water this time and had one goo-strawberry bannana was good! Made me very thirsty though. I had the goo about on mile 11. My time is a little off because about mile 13 we stopped to refill some water at the flume and I forgot to start my watch back up. The last hill to go back up to where we parked was so brutal! Prob good i didn't get my splits on it; very very slow with some walking and running! It was tough! Not much leveling out at all; just straight up. No major knee probs, just a little aching. Weather was nice and cool but started to warm up some at the end of our run but pleasant.

Time is for running 13.55 miles (when we refilled the water) Over all ran 15 miles though.

Paradise, CA. 5:49 a.m. We had to start a little earlier a.m. because we were planning to run the semi long run this morning before Dad goes to work. Ran from home to PHS and on track and back. I carried water bottles this time and had an energy bar before hand and during for extra push. I was not feeling as great this morning. I felt fine until about mile 6ish and then my L knee started to hurt. It was not bad at first but then gradually got worse until had to just walk. I sure hope it is not going to be a major problem! I ran about almost 7 miles on track. Then half mile to the track. I had to walk home. I iced it and been trying leg exercises. I won't run tomorrow at all or do any strenuous activities. It was very frustrating for me not to finish the 10 miles I was hoping to run:( Pain seemed to be more right below the knee cap this time and more inside versus outside. Didn't feel like the IT band this time.
